Board Members

After completing undergraduate degrees from Bangalore University, India; and Indiana-Purdue University; and an MBA from the University of Saskatchewan, Ravi taught at the Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan for approximately ten years. Along with the late Dr. Richard Long, he co-authored the book titled “Strategic Compensation – A Simulation” with emphasis on writing code for the simulation. This book was published by Nelson Canada and is currently being used by many universities across Canada.

Prior to the MBA program, Ravi worked for the Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO) based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, for 15 years as a Planning Analyst with the Communications Engineering Division. The Ravichander family has been part of the Wentworth community since 2005.

Frank and his family have been proud members of the 501 Wentworth community since 2007. Frank was recruited as Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology at the University of Saskatchewan in 2007 and later promoted to Full Professor in 2018 in the Department of Surgery. Prior to coming to Saskatoon, Frank trained to be a scientist by obtaining his PhD degree from the University of Toronto and Master of Engineering from McMaster University. He then completed Postdoctoral Fellowships at the Brain Research Center at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and Ion Channel Research Lab at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia. His research lab is currently studying the underlying mechanisms of aging-related brain diseases, such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease. His wife Sheila is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and actively participates in training medical students and residents at the University of Saskatchewan. Frank and his wife have two daughters, Katelyn and Christina who are both accomplished pianists.

Les grew up in Kyle, Saskatchewan, before attending Saskatchewan Technical Institute in Moose Jaw where he received his diploma in Business Administration in 1980. Les was employed at TD Bank from July 1980 to December 31st, 2020, when he retired as Branch Manager in Yorkton after a 40-year career. Les also served as a City Councilor for the city of Yorkton for 16 years. During December 2020 Les and his wife Jenice permanently relocated to Saskatoon where they are enjoying retirement and living in Wentworth. Les and Jenice have two adult children and four grandchildren.

Michelle has called Saskatoon home since 1975 and has been part of the Wentworth community since 2017. After a long career in education, she retired in 2009 as an administrator with the Prairie Spirit School Division and later worked alongside her husband, Terry, in their business, Envirotec Services Incorporated, until retiring together in 2016. Michelle treasures time with her daughters and grandchildren and is honoured to serve as secretary for the Wentworth community. She enjoys entertaining family and friends, playing pickleball, travelling, and spending time in her “happy place,” Bucerías, Mexico.

Jim was born and raised in Biggar and played one year of Junior hockey in Prince Albert before attending the University of Saskatchewan. He previously lived in Saskatoon from 1980 to 1990 and 2002 to 2009. He spent all of his career at CN, starting as a Trainman while attending university, and later progressing through various levels of Operations Management across Canada. Jim has previous Board experience with the Huskie Football Foundation, Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, and Manitoba Lacrosse Association. He coached minor hockey and lacrosse for many years, including the Saskatchewan and Manitoba provincial lacrosse teams. His son Brett and daughter Brooklyn currently live in Saskatoon.

Scott Scissons was born and raised in Saskatoon. Scott attended Holy Cross High School and after a brief professional hockey career he returned to Saskatoon and completed a Business Administration Certificate (BAC) at the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan. Scott has been employed at their family business, Western Mobile Homes, since 2001. Operation includes selling and servicing new modular and manufactured homes and commercial and residential renovations. He also manages a summer grass and landscaping crew. Scott has been a minor hockey coach since 2005 and has progressed up the ranks as his son played and in 2017 became the head coach of the U18 Saskatoon Blazers. He has also been the fundraising chair of the Saskatoon High School Golf program for the last 7 years but has since passed the torch to his sister to continue on. Scott’s blended family consists of his wife Regine and their four children, Dylon, Presley, Connor and Jesse, as well as their pet cockapoo Ellie.

Fay grew up in Swift Current. She has been a longtime resident of Saskatoon. She brings a diverse professional background, having worked as a mortgage officer, home appraiser, and as a tutor in the public school system. Demonstrating a strong commitment to lifelong learning, Fay returned to university at age 38 – while raising three young children with her husband Neil – to earn her Bachelor of Commerce degree.

Fay went on to own and operate a specialty Christmas store for 18 years before retiring in 2008 to focus on family and community involvement. Fay has served on several boards, including the Albert Community Centre, SIGA and the City of Saskatoon Leisure Services Board and has contributed to numerous community initiatives over the years.

In 2010, Fay co-founded the Saskatoon affiliate of Dress for Success, a global non-profit organization dedicated to helping women achieve economic independence. She remains an active volunteer with the organization.

Fay and Neil have three adult children and two granddaughters. They enjoy golf, travelling, and entertaining family and friends.
